High-speed access checking in
Almost half the hotel chains surveyed by market researchers Cahners In-Stat Group expect to offer broadband Internet connectivity to guests within the next 12 months. Some chains will assess a nightly charge, while others will charge by the minute or based on a flat rate per stay. "With hotel chains struggling to differentiate themselves, broadband access will be a terrific benefit to the haves and an enormous detriment to the have-nots," said In-Stat analyst Amy Helland.
