Not new news (was out yesterday) but I like it. <g>

Started small position in BVSN yesterday. Recently beaten down mercilessly on analyst manipulation. Trying to break above gap down resistance here around 44 - 44 1/4.

(COMTEX) B: BROADVISION: Ericsson chooses BroadVision to personalize third generation
(3G) m-commerce infrastructure offering

JUL 19, 2000, M2 Communications - REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- BroadVision (Nasdaq:
BVSN), a leading provider of personalized e-business applications, today
announced a major deal with Ericsson to offer BroadVision`s application software
as part of Ericsson`s WISE mobile portal solutions. The software will enable
WISE portal customers to create advanced, profile-based content and transaction
services. Included in the terms of the agreement, Ericsson will bundle
BroadVision software with 3G network equipment for robust m-commerce
functionality. In exchange, BroadVision will garner ongoing revenue from annual
subscriber fees based on network usage and phone equipment utilization.

"We`re totally committed to the wireless Internet future," said Dr. Pehong Chen,
chief executive officer and founder of BroadVision. "The deal enables Ericsson
to offer several BroadVision components as an integrated M-commerce
infrastructure to be delivered to wireless carriers. As the numbers of wireless
Internet users grows, it becomes essential for vendors to offer scaleable
solutions able to support millions of users. With our software they have this
technology at their fingertips."

Ericsson is one of the world`s largest providers of infrastructure for wireless
carriers. As a result of the deal, BroadVision technology will be part of
Ericsson`s third-generation (3G) M-commerce infrastructure offering. With
M-commerce linking wireless technology and the Internet, and an estimation that
by the end of 2000 there will be more wireless Internet users than PC users,
BroadVision applications will enable Ericsson to strengthen its position as the
market leader in wireless Internet.

The WISE Portal will provide to network operators and service providers a common
portal for content and service personalization as well as API`s and interfaces
to Ericsson`s third party enablers and necessary customer support extensions.

For users, the addition of BroadVision`s applications to the 3G network will
mean personalized settings as standard when connecting to the Internet. For
instance, a user searching for a restaurant could be channelled according to a
preferred geographical area, type of restaurant, price range and hours of
operation. This is very important for WAP phones because of their limited
display area. Profile-based content provides access to key information, on a
user-by-user basis, based on individual preference.

"Integrating advanced BroadVision software in our WISE? portal solution allows
us to provide network operators and service providers with a scaleable solution
that will help make them leaders in mobile Internet," explains Mark
Jefford-Baker, Third Party Manger Portal Core for Ericsson. "End-users will be
able to maximise the benefits of mobile Internet by accessing a suite of
services that are richly personalised through parameters such as location and
time. The end-user`s experience will be truly situational-centric."

"With this strategic partnership, BroadVision and Ericsson will enable the
deployment of next-generation M-commerce profiling technology, allowing delivery
to any device in any location," said Jaime Ellertson, executive vice president,
worldwide strategic operations, BroadVision, Inc.
