Brilliant concept. Why didn't Teddy Roosevelt think to put Yellowstone and Yosemite in private hands? I'm certain that Exxon
would have done a much better job protecting these gems than the government.

I'm not so sure Exxon would have done a better job protecting them, but I believe private land owners who buy land in order to protect it from development tend to do a better job then the government. I don't support any great increase in government owned land. If you want to protect some land buy some of it with your profits after AMD hits 200 :). Or more likely get a group of people or an orginization to buy it. If there are any large unprotected "gems" left that you feel the government should protect then let them buy the land with the money from the sale of other land.

Recognizes that global warming should be taken seriously but will require any decisions to be based on the best science;
opposes Kyoto Protocol

i.e. Do nothing.

We have debated this one before. I wouldn't suggest doing nothing, but I would sat take no drastic and enormously expensive actions. Any cheap and easy actions would probably be ok. More research should be a high priority.

Believes environmental standards must be based on the best science, market-driven technologies can provide solutions,
and government should encourage innovation and going beyond compliance

i.e. Sell out to the highest bidder.

Baseing decisions on the best science isn't selling out to the highest bidder. Using market based insentives to reduce polution is just a case of being more efficent. You can get more overall reduction at less cost then if you use a centralized command and control model.
