Paul and thread,

Did anyone notice the following statements from the official Q2 press release:

** The company expects revenue for the third quarter of 2000 to be up from second quarter revenue of $8.3 billion.

** The company expects interest and other income for the third quarter of 2000 to be approximately $800 million . . . [down from approximately $2.3 billion in Q2]

I am not an accountant, but doesn't this imply that Intel is projecting that operating revenues will be at least $1.5 billion higher in Q3 over Q2?? If operating revenues were approximately $6 billion in Q2, that would be a 25% quarter over quarter increase (starting on a huge $6 billion base). Isn't that extremely bullish for the company?? Am I missing something here??
