OT: Electric Price and Inflation

California was one of the first to deregulate, and my power company (San Diego Gas & Electric)
was one of the first to divest all generating capacity. They just do distribution.

Got my bill today and the "electric energy charge" went for .06174 per kWh to .13412 per kWH, up 117%.
I used 10% more electric this month, but my overal bill was up 77%
