Steve, few observations:

IBM gave very bullish outlook for second half og 2000, with huge contracts in Q2( one of them with ALA)
tveyes.com
I do not own it, but it is up 5% after CC.
Tomorrow, before the bell number from Lucent and Friday Ericsson.
ALA is at 20 days MA, and I expect starting ,may be tomorrow, to move higher.
Volume in Paris and at NYSE were below average today and yesterday....
Media are still talking about LU,NT and CSCO only facing very strong
demand going forward.
In fact ALA telecom business (energy will be gone by the end of 2000) will growth 30%, in line with NT and better then LU and even ERICY.
Based on FY2001 PE are as follow:
ALA........38

ERICY.....52

LU........40

NT......87

NT is leading opticts( 10 billion forcast for 2000) but both ALA and LU will hit 7 billion.
I have found this ironic that CSCO with few hundreds million in optical business this year
is always mentioned as a member of so call big three in optics..LOL
ALA on the other hand leads xDSL and fixed wireless( over 50% world market shares) and big demand now and in the future.
Give it a year and ALA will move to No1 in ATM and IP over ATM with 670 RSP (50/450 gig).
looks like institutions are slowly recognizing ALA value and position.
Many are complaining that ALA is French company with employee working only 30 hours a week.
Well, only 25% ALA employee works in France and number will hit 20 % after energy IPO by the end of the year.
Since ALA is considering tracking satock for optical componet business or amy be IPO, the value can only go up.
