oh, i'm certainly not going to get impatient over this dip...i merely try to look at all the possible scenarios. imo if the XAU doesn't bottom right around current levels, any further down spikes will likely be short lived, as the Aug. '98 down spike was. summer is traditionally a slow season for gold...

i agree, eventually the CB printing escalation should benefit gold a lot...if one looks at the trend in LME inventories for various industrial metals it is also obvious that the synchronized global upswing exerts more and more pressure on resources...therefore inflationary pressures should persist. it is actually surprising that aside from the PGMs no bigger price spikes have occurred in the other metals yet. supplies are getting tight wherever one looks...
