Checking in from the road..... Just saw Toby's interview on CNBC Asia. Talk about some great worldwide exposure for the company. For those who don't know, CNBC Asia is the American version of CNBC and almost looks the same other than all the interviewers are Asian :) It is broadcast to 18 million houses in Asia and is also picked up in other parts of the world. The interview was a couple of minutes and went very well. Toby was interviewed by two people and explained part of the business model and how this service was in great need. Funny thing is that one of the people doing the interview must have known Toby was from Vancouver and asked him how the site compared to Stockhouse.ca, who are going to provide links to brokers. Toby pointed out the SEG vision is to provide a global service and Stockhouse.ca was North American only and that there was no comparison. He also mentioned the SEG IPO and that SEG now has 14 partner brokers in covering numerous parts of the world. For those who are not on top of the news at last count we only had 8 so it looks like we have added a pile and growing.... great stuff. I understand this interview will be posted to the CPT site in the near future. According to my information the press conference was held about 8 hours ago in a very exclusive hotel in downtown Hong Kong (10PM Canadian Time). The announcement of the press conference/launch was supposed to be picked up by several worldwide news wires but I haven't seen the release yet. There was standing room only and there was representation from both the major and local press along with some power brokers/venture capitalists. We should hopefully see several news articles over the next several days/weeks being written up on the company. If I can find them I will post them... keep your eye on the China Morning Post because you can be sure it will be in there. In the most recent Economic Digest there was also an article on SEG. From my understanding it was a very positive article but it is in Chinese so I can only look at the pretty pictures. If anyone can translate it please post it. It looks like everything is coming together great. Hopefully this overhang will get chewed threw fast because the news and developments can't get much better than this. I hope to see everyone at the AGM so we can go out for some beers afterwards. Cheers.
