Robert: Please ask your friends at Proteon if the Globetrotter is a "cut-through" switch or "packet by packet" switch. The P x P switch is actually a hyped up router and is considered the more secure of the two. I attended a networking conference yesterday and the consensus there was that P x P switches were more reliable and hence would win the "Switch Wars". Also, yesterday brought a news item about future "alliances" and "joint ventures" between Proteon and Sun Microsystems...can you find out anything about the nature of these future deals? JEC
