John, just picking up on CBS.MarketWatch.com's report on Greenspan's speech today. He continues to recognize technology, every time I hear him. Good for tech stocks owners. For those that don't like him, consider that there could be a hawkish type in there that doesn't appreciate technology, like the one (can never remember her name, member Pres. Bush's team) that uttered the all time: "Computer chips, potato chips, what's the difference?"

Alan Greenspan suggested Thursday that the economy seems to be slowing enough to keep inflation at bay, but he didn't rule out further interest rate hikes.

In his semiannual report to Congress on the state of the economy, the Federal Reserve chairman played it safe, giving strong arguments in support of his notion that a technology-led productivity revolution has permanently altered the speed limit of the economy while reminding us that the laws of supply and demand haven't been repealed.
