<<but, if we are not rewarded in some way,>>
IMO having our company take in several hundred million or so of cash, money they can use for further R&D, to acquire other optical companies to fill out their portfolio, or on marketing of their "new, high-margin" products, plus having our company own the rest of the stock, probably valued in the market at a couple of billion or so, is quite a bit of reward.
Of course, the market reaction to this when the IPO happens is anyones guess. It is entirely possible that many stockholders have been waiting breathlessly for this to occur, and primed to sell on the news. If the success of the IPO is anything a little short of investor's high expectations, it would not surprise me at all to have MRVC sell off a little on the actual event.
And of course on the other hand, if the IPO blows away all expectations, we could be looking at a 15 point up day.
