You may not infringe upon the rights of an individual or a group of individuals no matter the size. That is why there are laws about polluting as pollution of air or water actually violates the individual rights of those that are directly or indirectly affected by the pollution. My position, however, does not debate the validity of those issues, but rather when rights are infringed upon in favor of need.
