NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Personal computer and
related stocks boomed Thursday ahead of earnings from
software and hardware giant Sun Microsystems.

[snip until the good part]

Sun Microsystems (SUNW: news,
msgs) shares were on the move, ahead of its
fourth-quarter earnings report Thursday. Salomon Smith
Barney expects the software and hardware giant to earn
32 cents a share. Analysts surveyed by First Call
anticipate the company will earn 33 cents per share, vs.
24 cents the year earlier.

"Sun is growing its revenue and EPS faster than any of
the other server and enterprise hardware companies and
in the past has taken shares from IBM and H-P," the
investment firm wrote in a recent research note. Sun
shares rose 3 3/4 to 97 11/16.

P.S. Jean: We like many of the same stocks. Maybe SUN can accommodate it's shareholders by adding an, "Expedition Outfitter," section to it's store. I would buy a safari jacket with the SUN logo on the arm ;>

P.S.2: Does anyone know what a SUNW stock certificate looks like?
