100,

Glad to know you feel better about our hairy beast. :)

When do you think Q's power will increase and when? Will it have to wait till their next tornado forms?

I think it will be a gradually increasing power that will come primarily from an increased quality of the value chain. The state of the value chain right now is that there aren't enough major, international companies who need Qualcomm more than Qualcomm needs them; most members of the chain are also part of its competitors' value chain. Due to the nature of the industry, members of Q's value chain will also be supporting its competitors' value chains, but that support will gradually become stronger and stronger in support of Qualcomm and weaker and weaker in support of the competitors' value chains.

Observing that change over time will be mostly a qualitative assesment. The quantitative stuff might not be apparent until the next tornado begins. As an example, if Nokia signs a 3G agreement the immediate observation will be qualitative as in "Wow, the heaviest of the heavy weights is now supporting Q's 3G product line." The quantitative results of that strong link added to the value chain won't be apparent until much later.

My opinion, but I could be wrong.

The one thing I'd like to add is that I hope people's reaction to my previous post invoked the following thought process: "Damn! I didn't realize Q's tornado has been in effect for more than two years. I didn't realize I'd made that much money and I also didn't realize I'd owned the stock for close to two years or more.

That went by like a blip in time. The next two or three years is just another blip in time. After that maybe 3G will begin to start cooking. This gorilla game-based LTB&H stuff is pretty darn good after all!"
