Apropos Sandisk and the potential digital camera tornado, there is a bit in ComputerWorld about a new Sony digital camera which uses a 3.5" recordable CD (CD-R) for storage. It is permanent, not reusable, but it holds 156MB and currently will sell for about $4 ... and, no transfer to PC, just stick it in the drive.
