well Mark, I decided, after all, that trading options as Schwab is not worth it. it is primarily that their order system doesn't have all the option series in there. how stupid is that?! and I'm not talking 2bit options either. I'm talking front month SPX. I talked w/ a platinum options broker who said he could call me every month to make sure my strikes were in their database... he was gracious enough, but that shouldn't be his job. I've shifted back to BrownCo. I've given up on PCM too... great execution system, but everything else lacks severely. nobody's perfect, but brown has enough of the criteria. except for yesterday, CBOE was messing up trades (and or fill reports) and I didn't find out about my yest morning trades till this morning before the close), but that wasn't brown's fault and they were relatively thorough about helping me out w/ my "lost" trades.
