Schuh... Does that mean Rob Herb from AMD is wrong?

(Q)
Analyst Hans Mosesmann(sp):Can you comment on your chipset strategy, in particular, DDR vs. Rambus. Could that provide an advantage entering 2001?

(A)
Rob Herb(Chief Sales and Marketing Executive): We're a very customer oriented market driven company and we are really driving to what we think satisfies our customer's needs and demands from both price and performance standpoint and right now our first introduction of next generation memory technology is centered around DDR technology. I clearly believe that when our customers need it or demand it, we're going to be in a position to provide RDRAM based products. We have a license for the Rambus technology. I do believe, you know, it's got some good performance characteristics, but you're really trying to drive a price/performance equation of the market, and right now our customer's are driving towards DDR based solutions."
