Thud, thud, thud....The worst is over.

Thud 1: the analyst meeting fiasco
Thud 2: the warning and resignations
Thud 3: the earnings

Each thud caused a big drop. This pattern has occurred in other stocks I have owned. A couple of years ago this 3 thud pattern happened with COMS and ORCL. First the stock would drop on no news (actually analysts got the word that there were problems), then the pre-announcement that things were not so hot, then whammo when earnings came out.

I think CTXS did the right thing in the way earnings were announced. They did what Microsoft has done for years. MSFT has always been "officially" cautious about future earnings, when current earnings are released. An upside surpise is much better than a downside surprise.

What CTXS needs to do now:

*Hire a new CEO quickly.
*Put out a press release any time a new big deal is done. They used to do this a couple of years ago.)
*Have ads that explain what CTXS does. (The WSJ ads are of no value to investors). This is a very old problem. The average investor has no clue what their software does.

The stock price will be flat or down for a while, 3-6 months.

The worst case scenario next 2 years (I'm talking investing not gambling)it could drop further and stay there.

Best case scenario next 2 years. 30+% earnings and revenue growth resumes in 2 quarters and continues and we see $120 again and all become millionaires.

Wishful thinking ....Takeover by ORCL who can finally have a real network computer product real cheap.
