What do you do with them on film? Here I can see filing a the CD as "Pix from the summer vacation" or, if one is doing a fashion photog like thing one picks out two or three images from the lot and throws the CD in the trash when the job is done. Point being that you can do anything you want with it that you can do with a flash memory cartridge *plus* you can choose to just keep the whole thing off line in a rather compact form. At $4 a pop to start, soon to drop to $1 in bulk, no big deal. Note that this is hardly going to compete with flash for cellphones and the like, but it does serve to illustrate another example of rotating memory still having a lot of potential in it.
