KANSAS CITY, Kan., Jul 20, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Conferencing Company Doubles its Automated Capacity

Premiere Conferencing, an industry leader for enhanced and automated
conferencing solutions and a business unit of Ptek Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:
PTEK)(www.ptek.com), today announced it reached a record high for automated
conferencing traffic in June, processing 16.2 million minutes through its
automated ReadyConference(SM) conferencing services. Premiere Conferencing also
announced the installation of 30 additional automated conferencing bridges to
meet the demand for its services. Premiere Conferencing has doubled its
automated capacity, increasing the number of automated ports to 12,000 in Kansas
City and Colorado Springs, Colorado.

"Customer demand for our ReadyConference and Web-based services is driving our
growth," said Ted Schrafft, President of Premiere Conferencing. "We experienced
a 157% increase in our automated conferencing traffic in 1999 over 1998, and
we're on track to more than double the business again this year. In fact, the
average growth rate for 1999 has been more than one million minutes per month."

According to a report by Frost & Sullivan, it is projected that on-demand audio
conference calls will comprise 78.2% of all automated calls by 2004. In
addition, the audio, document and Web conferencing services market is expected
to grow at a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of approximately 17% from 1999
to 2006. For the first half of the year, Premiere Conferencing has already grown
28%, well ahead of the industry projection.

Premiere Conferencing's automated ReadyConference services, including
ReadyConference OnDemand, Scheduled ReadyConference, and Web Conferencing, put
the conferencing user in direct control of the meeting. These services were
developed via proprietary conferencing hardware and software designed by
Premiere Conferencing, based on the needs of its clients.

ReadyConference OnDemand enables organizations to have on-demand access to
automated conferencing services. ReadyConference customers are provided with a
passcode-protected, dedicated dial-in telephone number that is accessible
24/7--acting as a "virtual conference room" always available for use. Users are
only billed for minutes used, and there is no set-up fee.

Scheduled ReadyConference offers a fully automated, feature-rich, and
cost-effective service that accommodates up to 48 participants on one call. For
additional security, a new dial-in number and passcode are issued for each call.
A reservations team is available to schedule a conference call 24 hours a day,
seven days a week, and live ReadyConference assistance can always be accessed
with a few keystrokes on a touch-tone telephone.

Web Conferencing provides customers with Web-enabled access for reserving a
Scheduled ReadyConference. The secure, automated reservations system offers
immediate "real-time" availability and confirmation for one or a series of
conferences. The system is accessible at www.readyconference.com.
