Well, he still has a ton of time to Sell Crude, it's 29.75 and my target is sub-25....

Depends on if he agrees of course.

Pinehurst, in the Western Carolina area, is one of the world's most famous golf courses. After Baltustrol nearby here in New Jersey, it may have hosted the US Open more times than any other course.

It's Number 2 course was designed by by Donald Ross....a person who, were he alive during the Inquisition, could quite possibly have made Cardinal Richelieu look like a wimp by comparison. The greens are rounded, you can hit a perfect golf shot to the middle of the green and your ball will roll somewhere south of hell. Ross was a taskmaster when it came to course design.

Pinehurst Number 2, built by Ross around 1895, is an extremely challenging course. The grounds are beautiful. The hotel is very Southern, the atmosphere just reeks with the class and decorum one might associate with the 1800s.

All in all, it's an okay place.

But I've been there several times and I can go just about anytime I like. So whether or not I make it this time isn't a big issue. Actually I would like to take my wife there in the Spring. Going with the guys is getting routine.

I have other issues cooking, however. I would like to attend but I have to weave current strings together before I am able to commit.

EDIT.

Ross built Number 2 in 1907, not 1895.
