Well, not really an insult. But funny none the less... News Release - Wed., July 19th The DesMoines Register Last Friday night, Midwest Landscape Co. was entered and the safe broken it to - $40,000 worth of payroll checks and $12,000 worth of Menard's gift certificates were taken. The two burglars, one a Midwest foreman (he had a key to the office) had been drinking and were going to take all the pop cans and redeem them for more beer money. Big ideas got bigger once they were in the office, so they broke into the safe and grabbed the dough. But Randolph E. Raber and Charles E. Ross panicked and threw the payroll checks out the car window onto I-235 except for one that Charles E. Ross noted was made out to Charles R. Cross! (Chuck advises and does work for all Craig's kids and this business belongs to Steve Sandahl) Ross went to Brenton Bank and tried to open an account with the stolen check. Chuck is very well known in the banking community in DSM and the bank caught on right away. (which by the way is an exception) Now, Charles E. Ross is in the Polk Co. Jail inlieu of bail!!! Perhaps Rossy is one of your relatives. Roundy... Rossy... Yea, that's the ticket. KING MAG
