Mike, the problem you are encountering is not a bug. In the 7.0 version Metastock was changed to default to using Smart Charts. You can change this by opening the "Choose Security" Dialog (rightmost icon in the icon bar in the lower right hand corner of the chart window; next to arrows to change security), then select the Options tab and choose "Use Chart as Template" instead of "Use Smart Charts".
