NightCrawler - Re: "Can somebody with a legal brief explain to me why this arrangement isn't a restraint of trade in the monopoly sense?
It would seem that a refusal by INTC to license VIA to put a connection to DDR "

VIA is a foreign company - from Taiwan.

Is it now a law that American companies MUST give up their Intellectual property to any foreign company so that foreign company can come in and under-cut the American company - because Taiwan does not have to pay TAXES to the US government on its profits - but Intel sure as hell has to.

Why don't you pack up and move to Taiwan if you're in love with VIA.

Nobody here will miss you.

And take a job with VIA - and make sure you WORK FOR FREE - it wouldn't be right for an American to make money off a Taiwanese company.
