Advanced Manufacturing Expansion

AMEX and TSE: AGT

TORONTO, July 20 /CNW/ - AimGlobal Technologies Company Inc. (AMEX, TSE:
AGT) today announced its newly-planned expansion of the advanced
microelectronics division in Kanata, Ontario. The expansion is targeting a
footprint to accommodate up to an additional 100,000 square feet of advanced
microelectronics manufacturing space. Fulfilling increased demand from
telecommunications and medical customers requires greater capacity for
specialized thick film hybrid and micro-manufactured chip-on-board (COB)
technologies. The new facility will accommodate up to 10,000 square feet of
Class 1,000 clean room and more than quadruple the Company's hybrid and COB
capacity.

In addition to the microelectronics expansion, the Company plans to
increase its traditional electronics manufacturing (surface mount - SMT)
capacity four-fold. Many of the Company's customers within the broadband,
wireless, medical, and telecommunications industries have advancing
requirements for both microelectronics and traditional SMT. This planned
expansion will provide required capacity, technology and customer-proximity to
meet the increasing manufacturing demands of current and future customers. The
Company further reported that the sale of its non-core gas safety business has
closed and is now complete.
