Major component shortages--Atmel's parts selling like hotcakes! The SSB and ML strategists who talked about semi supply catching up with demand should be shot. Note on the Atmel conference call today, they said 1) Prices on some booked parts are rising. 2) Some customers might PAY them extra dough for agreements to insure parts in the future.

Ericsson 7/21:

Agilent 7/20:
Agilent said it is seeing an unprecedented demand for its products and services, particularly in the communications marketplace, but parts shortages and capacity constraints are hampering shipments from keeping pace with incoming orders. (No doubt, flash memory and other chips)
