I'll tell you!

"Phase equilibrium constraints for solutions with geologically reasonable reduced sulfur contents indicate that high-temperature porphyry copper-gold deposits will contain bornite and magnetite, where as lowere temperature deposits (whether primary or overprinted by phyllic alteration) will contain chalcopyrite and pyrite.) If gold is present in the ore-forming solutions, more of itwll be deposited in high-temperature porphyry copper-gold deposits where it be closely associated with bornite. Coexisting mangetite in these deposits should generate magnetic anomalies. Lower temperature deposits wil contain less gold, which is hosted by pyrite as well as chalcopyrite, an will lack magnetic anomalies."

The difference in between a bornite and chalcopyrite system can be as much as one order of magnitude in gold concentration! Interesting hey?

I don't know if Lipangue contains bornite....but we do know that there is plenty of evidence that suggests the deposit was formed at high temperature.(think high temp-more gold) Certainly lots of magnetite was found during drilling-magnetite is associated with bornite.

Even more interesting-the bottom of hole 12-the hole which is supposedly very close to the porphyry-a elements scan performed on it shows very significant levels of bismuth.

Bismuth, has an affinity with high temperature intrusive related mineralization and the presence of high grade gold in quartz veins.

Putting it all together-----if Medinah doesn't have a high grade gold-copper porphyry system-I will eat my shorts!! Cheers!
