Bin Yeh's remarks...

"He also stated that the ADC product we have discussed here will be made from their proprietary controller technology utilizing Superflash and "commodity flash components". I think we all know what that means."

Dr. Yeh's remarks suggest that the high density components they need for the ADC product (similar to FLSH's situation and reliance on Toshiba) are "commodity" items. That is like coal calling the kettle black.

If there was any uncertainty at all about the distinction between "commodity" and the Gorilla Game term "commoditization" I think SanDisk settled the issue emphatically with the earnings report this week.

It is much to early to start sweating embedded applications and Bluetooth. The infrastructure for Bluetooth will require consumers to make significant upgrades in their home PC's. Embedded applications will increase OEM costs and decrease consumer purchasing power and interest. Some of these issues are even covered in no uncertain terms in Nakhimovsky's piece linked earlier from the SSTI website.

Consumers want personal data on visible removable media with a tactile confirmation of security, not in some "black box" embedded chip with a tempermental wireless connection.
