| Ah, but many folk decided that the intricacy of the shell suggested design. Out of placeness is not the salient quality, order is. It is certainly true that some sort of order can come from the random interplay of elements, but when there is a whole interlocking system where everything needs to fit properly for it to work, such as in a complex organism, well, the idea that it sprang up as a result of the incremental accretion of changes over thousands of years, with only the ham hand of selection as editor, is far fetched. As I said, the mere fact of cell specialization having to come prior to there being the requisite systems to put it to use strains credulity: musculature, cardiovascular system, nervous system, skeleton, and so on..... |
