Ausdauer - once again your comments regarding SSTI leave me amazed. One minute you are wishing you were invested in SSTI and the next you are bashing the company...time to ask you to put up some facts to support your claims: Eric, I reserve the right to compliment or criticize any element of SSTI's book of business. If you are expecting a glowing review of every facet of their business you are sadly mistaken. My interest in both SNDK and SSTI would be because they are serving the flash memory market at opposite ends of the spectrum of demand. I have tried to clarify this position in numerous prior posts. I am still in fact-finding mode with respect to ADC. I will be so bold to say that I feel SSTI has been intentionally vague about the source and type of components that will make up the ADC product they begin shipping in August. Also, the confusion about "single-chip" and "single-disk" (or whatever nomenclature they are using to promote ADC) muddies the water. I will stop short of saying that the press releases are misleading. My remarks about ADC, whether this is the 16 megabyte, 32 megabyte or 64 megabyte capacity, have to do with the practicality of producing a final product with low density technology. I will leave the burden of proof to you. I have already contacted SSTI by phone on multiple occasions and still have not received any information to indicate they are going to make or subcontract to foundry partners the flash storage component of ADC. Do you have information to support your contentions? Finally, I listened to the c.c. (through 4 or 5 analyst questions) and the reference I made to the Bluetooth/embedded mass storage replacing flash cards still stands. I suggest you listen again to the call. ______________________________________________________________________________ Eric, I have taken the ADC press release quite seriously. I am trying to understand whether the Bluetooth/embedded flash storage solution can displace flash cards. For some reason you seem to interpret my interest as a personal affront. Also, if you sense my posts as being contradictory and my general opinion of SSTI wavering and wishy-washy it is because I don't feel SSTI has a chance a succeeding at every endeavor they pursue. I am sorry if you find that insulting, but when given the choice of defending CompactFlash or defending ADC I will chose CompactFlash every time. I take offense to your use of the term SSTI "bashing". If you want a scathing review of SSTI I would be happy to post it, but I don't see how that would resolve any of the issues surrounding ADC.
