Steve, here is a good site to see some PDFs (Pretty Damn Fast)
files. (Actually Portable Document Format)

adobe.com

PDF format is already accepted
in the Govermental, Educational, Organizational, Commercial
(Did I leave anything out??) Web sites, FTP Servers, Gophers, etc.
We found that it saves us tons of room in our intranet servers.

Not to mention it is cross-platform and Acrobat has gained
acceptance by the BIG 3 browsers Navigator, Explorer and Mosaic.

Here is another good site that explains other common internet
File Formats (e.g html, gif, tar, jpeg, ascII, sgml etc.)

matisse.net
