I still think you're giving credit to the wrong people.If you are smart you don't wait until the first burglary to install the protective devices. DeBeers were phoning WSP on a regular basis for a long time. It's well over a year and a half since I first heard about their approaches. So don't kid yourself that their first choice was a hostile bid. They tried to court the company I believe, but as we all know RT has had high figures in mind for a long time, and to HIS credit he installed the alarm bells in good time.

The end result will be a function of his tenacity, foresight, and management capability and nothing else, except the luck of finding the deposit as a result of a lot of hard work in the first place.We have nothing to thank DeBeers for, except a close encounter of the usual scalping kind, and our escape from it. The credit rightly should go to Randy IMO.
