I wanted cable modem service for years. Back in March of this year I was able to get broadband service - ADSL from BellAtlantic - did a self install and haven't had any problems. I have three computers connected through a Linksys cable/dsl router for $39.95 a month. Cable modem broadband companies lost me as a customer and I wanted to be one.

In my opinion most everyone with a computer and an internet connection will one day in the not to distant future have broadband service - broadband service will need to be more affordable and more reliable for this to happen.
