I agree totally, that's the name of the game. The fund managers that I respect are those, like the manager of Fidelity 50, who have a small, strategic, focused portfolio... it takes much more discipline to manage a fund that way than to hold positions in 500-1000 different stocks.

I prefer my own stuff, of course...
