This is how A fixes its problem: sell its healthcare equipment division to PKI, pinoff its chip-making (RF, fiber) division and then just focus itself on test equipment boxmaking. I posted in LU's thread that LU should spin off its microelectronics group at least 6 months before LU's management figured it out. It doesn't take a Stanford MBA to run a successful business, just some common sense and focus.
