Hi Perry. Thanks for posting your moves and your advice.

You wrote:
I guess it depends on the individual but what I found about paper trading was that it does not compare to the real thing because the emotion thing is such a big part of the whole show, but that is just me.

In the past, I've been a very emotional investor.
It has cost me dearly as of this Spring's sell off.
Since then, I've been trying to eliminate emotions from my trading.
It hasn't been easy.
I find it difficult to not buy into hype or into a stock with a great story behind it.
Often I find myself scouring the various tech stock boards looking for inspiring stories of promise about some company.
I then speed through DD and make a purchase based upon all the great things that I've read.
I even let my emotions bend the charts to see pictures and formations that are not there.
I let my excitement get in the way of common sense.

Then at some point I watch this gem of a stock begin to dip.
Usually when it reaches an extreme low, I begin to panic and often sell before it's too late. (Often at a loss...)

Only recently have I been able to disengage my emotions from my trading.
I'm beginning to develop a mind frame that is more mechanical than emotional.
I've been quicker to take profits and move on.
If I feel greed beginning to take control, I force myself to take some off of the table.

Now I intend to try to learn options trading by recording all transactions on paper.
I realize this won't give me the full flavor as live trading with real funds.
However, I'm hoping that I can begin to develop non-emotional habits that I can carry with me to the big leagues.

We'll see how that works...

I'm hoping that you continue to post your welcomed advice and trades.
I can sure use the help.

I've been reading about the various bull and bear strategies.
As soon as I build this fictitious account up, I plan to try trading these various methods of limiting or increasing risk.

I'm not sure how those more complicated trades will play out on paper.
We'll see.

Thanks again.
