Like usual the differentiator will be low cost and ease of purchase. Multi-platform is what ConvergeNet was all about. And who will design? Both, Dell and Intel I would guess (also like usual). Expect Dell designs first going after the smaller to middle customers with cheap prices. Then Intel will provide the Merced machines to move higher up the food chain. All will be packaged to enterprise customers, along with web pages, all the PCs they can use, server appliances, and discounts to Gigabuys. They'll likely throw in those RIMM- palm pilots to the IT staff to check on the servers & storage wirelessly. Dell is very easy to underestimate, but they've won every price war that they were involved with.
