Aus, if you believe that the relationship between INTC and RMBS is so that INTC can make a billion bucks on RMBS stock, you got some rude awakening coming your way. First, INTC has risked a billion bucks into the DRAM suppliers to get them into the RMBS fold (It turned out OK and they made like thief on their MU stock, but it was not assured at all). Furthermore, INTC is not going to risk their dominance in the CPU market (a $20 B business) for a lousy $billion bucks. INTC reasoning is more to make sure that the CPU is the bottleneck in a PC and no other interfacing device (otherwise they cannot charge premium prices for their fastest devices), and rightly or wrongly, they have decided that the only smart way to speed up communications between the CPU and the DRAM is to use RMBS' approach. There is nothing "shady" in that relationship.
