you did not tell us if you are running w95 or w98. assuming w98....

as for your question...

i don't think you are going to get yourself into any trouble by unchecking any of these. the feature is designed for (among other things) users to uncheck them all, then methodically add them back in, one at a time, in order to identify a problem app.

if you wish, you can post the items here on the thread that appear with check marks and we can offer whatever insights we may have. follow the advice in one of the above links and make a note of all items that are checked before you begin freelancing.

with either w98 or w95, you should have something under system tools. follow clickstream: start\programs\accessories\system tools\resource meter

and/or use a search of this thread for more
