Heat Emissions

First off, let me say, the Socket-A Thunderbird Athlons put out a LOT more heat than FC-PGA Coppermines do. Many FC-PGA Coppermines can be run without a fan and only a heatsink (as my main work machine does), where on the other hand Socket-A Durons and Thunderbirds are more like heat factories. Even with Alpha cooling, the chips were averaging around 105-120ºF, where most FC-PGA Coppermines run swiftly at 70-90ºF. As noted by AMD, the Thunderbird/Duron chips WILL fry themselves within seconds if not cooled properly.
