Chris, I'm curious about something. Why do suppose God wants/demands a perfect and unblemished sacrifice from human beings when he knows(according to the Bible) that humans are imperfect. Why demand an impossible solution and set humanity up to fail?
Yes, Jesus takes that reponsability away of finding a unblemished sacrifice and therefore absolving Christians from the punishment of their sins. But why set up a situation where that is even needed? If God in his infinite wisdom, knew that this would be the result, why not just show a little compassion at the Garden of Eden and avoid this convoluted situation? Also, why would God need a sacrifice? and why would an imperfect sacrifice from imperfect people be an "abomonation"? Why expect more from people than they are capable of, and then look down at those efforts as an abomination, when those people are just the way that He made them?
Are you capable/willing of answering those questions in your own words? Not just cutting and pasting scripture, but giving me your true thoughts on the subject?

I know you think that I am trying to "catch" you on something, or to bait you. I'm not, I'm just truly curious as to your thoughts. |
