It appears that you and I are reading extremely different papers. But be that as it may, my appreciation for the "Conclusions" reported has nothing to do with DRDRAM.

The good Professors were just exhibiting their scholarly approach by not mentioning the woeful performance of DRDRAM in their "Conclusions". It was after all a study of the two low latency DDR-II alternative proposals before JEDEC. There is simply no reason to do a "study" to find an alternative to DRDRAM. Everyone in Ann Arbor, DARPA, College Park, and most of the known universe, outside this list, are already aware of the deficiencies of the DRDRAM design.

However, if you really want to feel "threatened" scroll back to page 13 and take a gander at the test results in the first two bar charts. Or you might want to just read the paragraph at the bottom of that page.

Then again there's always the possibility of "reasonable" settlements of the ever growing list of RMBS IP. After all, they say RMBS has INTC by the short and curlies. That's got to be worth something.
