Sorry Webb, didn't mean to put you on the spot. You were just the last one to post. Times Series and Variable MAs are options available is some charting software such as Metastock. Both seem more sensitive to price changes than exponential, weighted or simple MAs. Many experts on this thread use Time Series and Variable MAs. I thought an explanation of their calculation might help understand why. Mike
