AS you note, AMD's AThwipers have to be sold in discount stores and warehouse outlets - and at reduced prices.

Pity what happens when you have a poor reputation and no brand recognition.

As for Willamette, Intel will have as their target market professional and business customers, server manufacturers - not the bargain seeking, weekend shoppers that converge on warehouse outlets.

As you probably know by now, Intel knows how to make handsome profits from their top of the line MicroProcessors.

By the way - did you run into Jerry Sanders at the Costco where you shop?
