StockHawk,

Thanks for mentioning those items. Please feel free to bring up stuff about the CRM space any time you think is appropriate. Don't wait for my quarterly report.

About the Cisco/Oracle alliance. Despite that it was discussed in the thread when the announcement was made, I still don't know what to make of it. Oracle was the logical choice because so many companies also use their database software. In the sense that the move by Cisco helps meet their goal of becoming a one-stop shop, including the CRM offering makes some sort of sense. But what I can't appreciate is the extent to which it will help acquire more business for Oracle or the extent to which it will help Cisco sell more of its product.

About IBM and all their partners, as I was doing the research for my piece I first learned that IBM is also an ERP provider. Big Blue seems to have its fingers into many pies, but I'm especially glad of the partnership with Siebel.

Your comment about the Siebel software being available for the customers with the AS400 was important enought for Tom Siebel to mention it in the conference call. I'd like to hear from people about the typical size of a company using the AS400. My impression is that it used primarily by the high end of the mid-tier market and much larger companies, but I'm not sure how I got that impression.
