Celera likely to move into drug development, analysts say

NEW YORK, July 21 (Reuters) - Celera Genomics, the company that last month announced sequencing the human genetic blueprint, will likely follow its itch to jump into the business of drugmaking, analysts predicted on Friday.

The analysts made their predictions a day after Celera's President and Chief Scientific Officer, Craig Venter, told Reuters he and his company were considering whether to branch out into making drugs for cancer and other diseases....
