God On High! If I could spend a day such as Croc just described to you, I would will myself to death, feeling I had arrived at the pinnacle and it would be downhill from then on out.

But, to the subject. I have to agree almost completely, no, completely, with your analysis that Gauguin appropriately described as Well Worded.

The post gives me pleasure because of its accuracy. It also gives pleasure for another reason. This Thread is populated by a good number of real bright folk. Real bright. It is, to a good extent, a rarified atmosphere. And, I do not refer to being Lettered, or Travelled, or Hip on a whole bunch of subjects. I refer, even more, to the sensitivities that are displayed. The recent personal experiences with flowers and nature,s role in our sensoral and spiritual satisfactions.

It is a privilege to post here. And I am glad I have not, as yet, produced my dismissal - for improper conduct.

Since my early teens, I have dreaded two-valued orientations, feeling the greater part of life is gray. (Not dismal gray, for god's sake! Inbetween black and white gray!) And I feel the two advertised ladies you have mentioned in your note absolute love two-valued orientations. But, that is truly neither here nor there.

(By the way, I also feel that Croc and Ish, and maybe Gauguin, have treated this whole tale of rejection with precisely the gray it deserves. And, without any negative implication of any sort, I have the impression that both you and X have been a tad behaviorally two-valued, wavering from an attempt to 'understand' to an inclination to provide Rules of Order.)

I truly do not feel I would have posted the whole Lonely Hearts thing if it hadn't coincided with a similar, though far more serious and perplexing, happenstance that has just taken place on Memorial. Neenny and Shootie, neither of whom having accumulated a great many bonus points on my board, have blackened me out of that thread.

This, I, without being playful, find to be a cause of great concern. Not the fact that they and I (along with a new nudnik or so who is/are joining that thread) are essentially incompatible. But the deviation from goal that such a severence produces.

Their masterful manning of the Memorial mission has resulted in a weakening of the mission as an entity. It puts all the blue chips on the 'masterful manning.'

I started my Miss Lonely Hearts post with a parallel to certain experiences I have undergone on SI. It, specifically, had to do with what I just mentioned.

An example, SI is having a Fifth Bithday Bash, with awards, in SF on August 5. I had written the director of that Bash, recommending that Edwarda be honored posthumously as a Super Poser - evidenced by the extraordinary avalanche of SI reaction to her sickness and death. Now, what with the rift, all this valid crap seems to flow over the dam - as Masterful Manning continues to rule the boards.

See, there, I told you. It wasn't Need of Love Ladies that was truly behind my insertion into this thread. It was something much deeper, and more puzzling, and more distressing.

Do I get Detention if I close by saying that I admire your spirit, involvement, and choice of gin?
