"If it's a good script, a good character, and they offer me enough money, I'll do it. It's as simple as that. Journalists ask me if it's the script or the character. None of these factors mean a damned thing; it's rubbish all that stuff. If I'm working with a wonderful actor and a good script and a good director, that makes it worthwhile. Brad Pitt on Meet Joe Black: He's a good actor and a big movie star and he's going to bring all the young girls to the box office and they'll get to see me at the same time. I get to stay at a nice hotel in New York while I film and they're paying me well and it's a nice big part, a helluva big part. That’s why I do it. All the rest is crap. All the rest actors talk about is horseshit."

"We tuned Tony up for the action genre," says Lee Tamahori. "Anyone that works with him now has a seasoned action veteran." |
