ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 6, 2000--Elite Technologies, Inc.(ETCH) has signed a letter of intent to acquire FBN, Inc. DBA priceapc.com. Priceapc.com is currently up and running but with Elite's input will be adding to its content. The site has online shopping for over 20,000 computer related items. Customers will be able to price and purchase computer parts, complete systems, notebook pc's, and servers. There will also be a classified section which will have headings for private individuals selling used parts, companies selling used equipment, and a listing for manufacturers close-outs. IET, a wholly owned subsidiary of Elite, is one of FBN's main hardware suppliers.
Scott Schuster, CEO of Elite said, ``Not only does FBN allow IET continued growth through e-commerce, but it additionally supplies added content to the AMG kiosks. Although FBN is an up and coming company, it falls under Elite's internet incubator strategy with synergy between AMG and IET.'' [wow....keywords!]
AMG's kiosk units average 15 ten minute internet sessions per day, targeted primarily at the business traveler. Elite has already signed a definitive agreement with AC Travel, providing travel and leisure content via portals on the web in nine languages.
Elite Technologies already provides internet services through Elitetech.Com, which provides web hosting, web development, and e-commerce services on the internet. Elite's other two divisions, Elite Integration and Workstream Staffing provide custom software development, integration and implementation, and technical staffing augmentation services. Elite Technologies is also an integration and reseller of Eastman Software and a premier partner with Hewlett Packard. Products through Eastman include document imaging, workflow and COLD (Computer Output to Laser Disc).
