ZO, whatever was I thinking of? Redback is one such company that produces the type of platform I was referring to in my previous post. Their Subscriber Management System - SMS - was made for this.

The question that I would have is this. Is there any universally accepted protocol for handing off services in a pluralistic kind of environment that is the Internet and the xLEC universe, that would facilitate a plug and play adaptation of their wares?
